Ayurvedic porridge for weight loss


This remedy is taken from one of oldest Ayurveda cook book ‘Sarabendra Paka Shastra’ – Which talks about more than 1000 healthy tasteful food recipes.


Ingredients
Quantity
Wheat
50 grams
Rice
25 grams
Green gram
25 grams
Cumin seeds
3 grams
Ghee
2 grams
Salt
Q S

 Method of preparation

1.     Wash green gram and soak in water over night
2.     Wash rice thoroughly
3.     Clean the wheat, break it and roast in until it becomes golden yellow color
4.     Heat the pan with ghee and fry the cumin seeds until it becomes splatter
5.     Add roasted wheat, cleaned and water soaked rice and green gram
6.     Add sufficient water and salt
7.     Until the water completely dries up, continuously stir. / Add sufficient water and pressure cook.
8.     Always to be served hot

d.      Dietary fiber - 4 grams
e.     It is a good source of thiamin, niacin, selenium, magnesium and iron.

b.     Usually advised for breakfast with milk or evening snack
